Laura Reynolds Werner

Laura Reynolds Werner | Vice President

In her extensive landscaping career, Laura has participated in such prestigious commercial projects as the Jack Nicholas Golf Course at Pawley's Island and a golf course and resort in Carambola, St. Croix. While she has worked for such well-known firms as DeVictor and Associates and Arbor and Sage, her true job satisfaction comes from creating landscape transformations for the everyday homeowner.

At her alma mater, the University of Georgia's School of Environmental Design, a professor once called her "a born designer". It was at UGA that Laura learned to draw the beautiful flowing bed lines, which have become one of her design signatures. Laura originally planned to major in graphic art. Today, she has traded her brushes, sketchpads, and sculpting tools for a drafting table and landscape paint, with the great outdoors as her canvas.

Laura's love of plants is only equaled by her enjoyment of people - a combination that clients appreciate. A true "people person", she loves drawing out client ideas and inclinations and bringing them to life in creative, yet functional ways. For Laura, nothing beats the thrill of a Werner Landscapes customer reporting that they're having coffee in their new garden every morning, or that the neighbors are stopping by just to comment on the landscaping transformation. This emphasis on customer satisfaction is one of the hallmarks of Werner Landscape's success. At home, you will find Laura tending to her two children, the family menagerie (a golden retriever, a Boston terrier, a stray cat, and some koi fish in the outdoor pond), and to the many unique and interesting plants which she has incorporated into her own landscape. She enjoys the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat with her ALTA tennis team. And every so often, you will still find her with her oil paint and brushes, creating a masterpiece for the indoors.
